What do you think of Stephen Harper? Thu, February 14, 2013
As Parliament began its fall sitting last week, Prime Minister Stephen Harper's disapproval rating hit 50%, a new poll provided exclusively to Sun News Network shows.
Best PM we've had since Trudeau. The country is much better off with Harper at the helm then any of the other so-called choices. We've weathered a lot of storms in the past 5 or 6 years and our country has done much better than the U.S. and others in Europe.

While I don't agree with the way some policies are being brought in or the broad spectrum approach of some of them, by-in-large Harper has done a fairly good job. However the spying on private email etc. is a no-no with me and the area that most concerns me is about the people who work for him. Bev Oda and Vic Towes immediately come to mind amongst others. I can't imagine the mind set that elects them but it really amazes me that Harper keeps them around. I guess it's a case of keep your friends close and your enemies closer. That approach will kill Harper and I as a life-long Conservative are disappointed that the double dippers are gaining from this failure.

Well, I prefer Mr Harper over a traitor, a Trudeau wanna be or an actual Trudeau for that matter. I believe in a secure country bound by its laws and imposing its will on those ho enter illegally, commit crimes or who seek to reduce our national capacity to export resources. I also believe that we need the ability to defend ourselves when our homes or property are violated, less restricting gun laws in this country will reduce crime as honest people are currently the only ones being harassed by cops and CFO's in this country. Enter a persons home with the knowledge they can use lethal force and that will reduce crime quicker than any lyberal or dipper idea.

He is the most arrogant 2 faced SOB that we've seen in a long time. He is republicanizing Canada, selling out. Don't trust the guy one minute. He is a coalition of all the wrong people. Canada is losing it's international reputation and we sit here and take it. (For now) I might remind everyone that the majority of Canadians didn't vote for him. But he treats it like he's the only one. Hoping the opposition can get thier act together for the next time. I'll wager that he is a one-time PM. Read between the lines.

I agree with last comment. Best PM since Pearson. Does his job efficiently, without fanfare in a country with wildly diverse interests. I don't need a "flashy" PM!

He's doing an A+ job dividing and conquering the electorate. I hope to see him gone in the next election.

Mr. Harper is a bit too arrogant and dismissive for my liking. I'm not sure he has much regard for Canadians.

I believe he's a great PM. He represents Canada very well on the international front and is very well spoken. He made campaign promises and is following through. Keep it up Mr. Harper.

Mr. Harper is doing a fair job as PM. Granted there has been a few hiccups with the party... The issue is that yes the Canadian economy is sitting fine right now, however we are not careful we could wake up and find that Canada is the new Greece. The realities of the world are changing and we can no longer afford to spend like drunken sailors. Anytime you cut programs people are going to whine about it.
Keep up the good work Mr. Harper!

Hammer wrong as always says..
"Most heartening though is it appears that most posters appreciate harpers leadership."
Most posters on this topic, just as the huge majority of Canadians, do not like the man.
Even uplick is so disgusted with harper he called him a name
