Interesting study out today pointing the finger at high fructose corn syrup (again) as a potential major factor in the obesity epidemic. Does this highly processes "sugar" which has made its way into just about every processed food we eat and has been predominant in the sweetened beverage industry (for purely cost advantages) since the 70s, aligning itself very coincidentally with the rise in obesity, come with negative health penalties, similar to the white vs brown debate in rice and flour. Are we processing ourselves to an early grave?

Does the truth even stand a chance in this world of evil right wing corporate corruption?

For more on that we go now to ....

"Has educating the public worked for the terrible results of H.I.V., S.T.D.'s, drunk driving, speeding, cigarettes, drugs"

Yes.

Seat belts though is a different matter. Racist right wingers are still angry the law says they must wear a seat belt.

This push that education is what is needed. Well lets see. Has educating the public worked for the terrible results of H.I.V., S.T.D.'s, drunk driving, speeding, cigarettes, drugs, not really. Kids have been told by teachers, TV, radio, parents and even the soda manufacturers that these drinks are fattening when consumed to much. They just keep on buying them and they will until they are regulated. The obesity of our young is an epidemic and if we don't nip it in the butt now their huge butts are going to be so hard on our health care system in the not to distant future it will certainly have a crippling affect on it and may push us over the edge to a two tiered health system.

Perhaps your friend the MOD could explain how this ridiculous post had anything to do with the question. This is not a right or left wing issue TROLL, this is a question about an epidemic which affects not only North America but the world. Your pathetic existence tells me the fight against ignorance has a very long way to go.

tweedledumb, you know nothing of left or right wingers.

The topic is big sugary drinks, the kind it appears you drink a lot of as evidenced by your rotten brain.

You are nothing more than a classic internet troll.

Would banning them help?

I don' think so, fatty tweedlepig would just pick 2 leftover cups while she is dumpster diving for McD leftovers.

Actually Mike a left winger knows how to think for themselves.

Just look at Harper. All the decisions he makes are dictated to him by America and more recently by Israel.

harper thought Canada should have blindly followed America into Iraq because they said there was WMD there, which there wasnt. It took a wise left winger who made his own decision Canada was not going there.

And like I said. Right wingers are still upset they have to wear seatbelts and that Dominion Day was changed to Canada Day
Mrs-Brigand, 2012-09-16 10:39:37

Mrs-Brigand says

Because right wingers dont know how to think for themselves and end up costing the healthcare system far more.

Right wingers are still upset the law says they have to wear seat belts.

Only a left winger would not understand freedom of thought and decision!

I personally know how to make my own decisions, you can let Uncle NDP or Liberal make yours!!!

And in 2013, when your '93 zombie houses are paid off, and you say "our work is done, we can stop importing workers" and SHIT like that, thats when you zombies will be skewered like gay pigs and shipped to china where you belong; bought and PAID FOR
$170,000 rent paid SO FAR, 2012-09-15 18:45:06

"How about we treat people like Adults and let them decide for themselves,"

Because right wingers dont know how to think for themselves and end up costing the healthcare system far more.

Right wingers are still upset the law says they have to wear seat belts.
