I grew up during the NDP tenure in Saskatchewan and let me tell you that it was no fun. Most of the farmers who were stuggling under that government ended up working the oil rigs in Alberta to make ends meet. Socialism benefits a minority, usually the ones implementing it. The rest suffer.

The NDP couldn't run a cat house. Under Bob Rae, they had a crack at Ontario. Remember Rae Days? Google it.

A better question would be.
Has the NDP decimated the economies of every province they've been elected in?

Sure, if I was a Dipper I would vote for me because I would promise a "chicken in every pot" without considering that someone has to raise the chicken and probably import the pot.

The answer is YES. Oh wait. Better get my hate-filled eyes examined. The question is "Would the NDP do a good job RUNNING Ontario?" and not Would the NDP do a good job RUINING Ontario?"
Pragmatic, 2012-09-30 15:06:14
Only thing the NDP would do a good job of running is their mouths off.

I have spent some time trying to decide if the headline was intended as sarcasm or humor, either way - Good One

The N0 Democracy Party has ruined the economies of every province dumb enough to elect them.
But don't take my word for it, their record of ruin speaks for itself.

Te NDP have a hard enough time running their own party imagine what they could do with a whole province or country.

Bob Rae and the NDP almost ruined this province, how he is still involved in politics is beyond comprehension. Hopefully there are enough voters that remember that fiasco to not try it again. Unfortunately, Ontario is in a similar situation where we have had a spendthrift government for 9 years that has an insatiable appetite for taxpayers money. And now are left with no voting alternative. Hudak is so out of touch with the people and the needs of this province that even a Conservative can't vote for him, hence the growing popularity of the NDP. Very dangerous! Ontario Conservatives need a new leader ASAP. Maybe one that leans a little more to the centre of right.
