Quebec's "language laws" are racist and illegal. Long past the time to carve up that Province and get rid of the racist trash french talkers. This country can't take much more vandalizing at the hands of these bigoted french talking tribalists.

I am an anglophone living in this disaster of a place and I want to see 75 Federal Electoral District Referendums Clarity Act Rules, Clear Question, those that vote to go - go - let the rest of us have a bilingual province that stays within Canada. Sick and tired of these language bigots and it has now become dangerous in that even their road signs are in french only. Time to let these bigots go and let the rest of us live in peace and harmony as we have always managed to do without them. On with the referendums!

If Quebec refuses to fly our Canadian flag, I feel we should not forward our transfer payments. Legislated language is rediculous and against our Charter of Rights and Freedoms. They are way too expensive to support and yes, we are supporting them, they could never do it on their own! I hope the Big Box Storesa do pull out. It may give them a reality check!! I was born and raised and educated in Quebec, I speak French as well as I speak English, however, because of my wonderful Irish heritage, I'll never really be a Quebecer.

It is time to kick them out of Canada!

No. I think if you live in Quebec you should never be allowed to read or speak anything but French. You should not eat anything but French Fries and Poutine and you can only drive fifty year old Renaults. You may not talk or look at anyone who is not a Quebecer eh?

And if a PQ politician attempts to talk to a Canadian we should be allowed to beat them with a snowshoe and a hockey stick.

I love Quebec, it is beautiful, picturesque, full of history. The trouble is the government is more akin to a union that really has no idea on the ramifications of some of their actions they use in the name of "their brethern". Quebecs language laws are arcaic and most Quebecors I speak to don't agree with that aspect of the government.

If they keep it up there certainly will be another exodus of major businesses pulling out.

I tend to agree that Quebec should retain it's own language, but there are limites and the govt of the day has to be practical. Driving away business is not the answer, and not to mention it's hurting their economy.

Mrs brig, are you inspired by elaine when she screamed "NEXT" at the soup nazi ??

Actually colonel FUOM. The big box stores, especially wal-mart, have forced the closure of hundreds of small businesses, mostly in smaller towns, putting thousands out of work, then rehired by wal-mart at lesser wages.

NEXT?

In the 90's the Quebec language police tried to force us to translate all our technical manuals into french or they would pull our inventory from store shelves.

Our solution was simple..WE STOPPED SHIPPING TO QUEBEC. The velocity of technological change..short product shelf life.. and the cost of translating thousands of pages of technical manuals made the decision very easy.
