Man claims to have killed daughter
Girl brought back to life, in critical condition

A 16-year-old girl is fighting for her life, after a man called police claiming to have killed his daughter this morning.

The 911 call came in at about 7:55 a.m.

Emergency crews found the girl at a Mississauga home with no vital signs, but were able to revive her, police said. She's listed in critical condition at Sick Kids hospital.

Sources say the girl was strangled.

A 55-year-old man, believed to be the girl's father, has been taken into police custody.

Police are invesigating at the scene on Longhorn Trail, in the Hurontario St.-Trailwood Dr. area.
