Tributes pour in for siblings
By SARAH GREEN -- Sun Media
The Toronto Sun

An outpouring of grief and at least one note of regret.

Tributes poured in to a Facebook page set up last night to honour 22-year-old Iliada Zois, also known as Lois, and her brother Jamie, 14, who were killed Christmas Day. Zois' common-law spouse is charged in their deaths.

"I loved her," one man wrote on the site, called R.i.P. Lois & Jamie. "Oh God I wish she listened to me when I told her to get out."

One of Iliada's co-workers at a Rexdale Wal-Mart recalled a "wonderful lady" who was full of life and love for her family.

"She always had a smile on her face when she spoke of them," the co-worker wrote. "We had many talks about our lives and where we came from and where we were headed.

"She had so many plans and was positive it was only going to get better. Iliada, you were a special person with a tremendous drive and worked so very hard," the co-worker wrote. "I hope you will have some peace in the next life."

One woman recalled people mistaking her and Iliada for sisters when they were together.

"She had a rough life, but she was so strong," the woman wrote. "R.I.P."

Another friend wrote Iliada always spoke so highly of her brothers and sisters.

"They were the most important people in the world to her," the friend wrote.
