Former Kenner teacher Alexander Clachers has been found guilty on all 15 counts of sexual assault and exploitation.

The reading of the verdict Friday was emotional, with several jurors openly weeping.

The jury spent 2 1/2 days deliberating Clachers' fate.

The trial was scheduled to last for two weeks, but ended up lasting one month ending Friday.

Clachers, 58, pleaded not guilty to all of the offences.

Six complainants -- five males and one female -- were former Kenner students whose complaints stem from 2006 to 2008. The first complainant, now a 28-year-old man, testified he was abused habitually over a 10-year period beginning in the early 1990s.

None of the victims were present for the reading of the verdict.
