Winnipeg police believe a man who groped two women in the River Heights area earlier this week is responsible for at least six other assaults.
On Nov. 17 two women, one 27 and one 42, were sexually assaulted by a man riding a bicycle while they were out running in the neighbourhood.
Police spoke to reporters about the incidents the following day and urged any other possible victims to report the crimes to police.
Yesterday, police said further investigation revealed that six similar incidents have occurred in the city over the last week.
Police said the suspect has made similar advances in River Heights and the west end of St. James between Nov. 13 and Thursday.
He is described as a white man in his mid-20s with a dark complexion, clean shaven, with brown eyes. He was wearing a black puffy jacket with fish line threading and a black hood with a fur collar.

The bicycle is believed to be a black and yellow mountain bike.
Police are looking for the public's help in finding the suspect. Anyone with information regarding any of the incidents is asked to call investigators at 986-2877 or Crime Stoppers at 786-TIPS (8477).
Police are also encouraging anyone else who may have been a victim to come forward.
