Violent pimp, child abuser sought by cops
By ROB LAMBERTI, SUN MEDIA
The Toronto Sun

A convicted pimp and child abuser is being hunted by Toronto Police after breaching his conditions of release.

Toronto Police said Mark Anthony Burton, 41, has a violent criminal history, including weapons offences, sexual assaults against children and in 1998, he was convicted for being the pimp of a 19-year-old woman.

He was also known to police for procuring a 15-year-old in 1989.

Police consider him dangerous and a high-risk to re-offend.

In 1998, Ontario's highest court heard Burton was part of a three-person pimping crew, led by a then-lawyer, that threatened and abused teen prostitutes.

He is described as having a brown complexion, 5-foot-9, and 240 pounds, with brown eyes and a shaved head.

He has numerous tattoos, including a "Playboy Bunny" below the left eye and tattoos of teardrops on both sides of his neck.

Burton also uses the alias Rickey Downey.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-8477, online at 222tips.com, or text TOR and send the message to CRIMES (274637).
