NEWMARKET - Former fibreglass salesman Christopher Little, 38, of Markham, was sentenced today to two concurrent life terms with no chance of parole for 25 years for the 2007 first-degree murders of his wife Julie Crocker and physiotherapist Paula Menendez.
Little sat with his head down in the prisoner's dock of fourth floor of a courtroom as Judge Michelle Fuerst called him a manipulative, deceitful killer who almost cut the head off "the woman you professed to love," then throughout his trial falsely described Menendez as a "homicidal, suicidal maniac."
Instead, Menendez was an "innocent player," Fuerst said.
Little, wearing a dark jacket and blue shirt, sat with his head lowered as family victim impact statements were read in the hushed court by Andrea Berger, father Jaime Menendez and Crown prosecutor Douglas Casko on behalf of the Crocker family.
In addition to the callous murders, Fuerst told Little he robbed his daughters of their mother and the family and friends of Menendez of a loving woman.
