By QMI Agency

EDMONTON -- An attempted murder charge has been laid against a woman in connection with a triple stabbing that has left one woman in critical condition and another seriously injured.

The suspect also faces aggravated assault and assault with a weapon charges, said police spokeswoman Karen Carlson.

The charges came after police found three women suffering from stab wounds inside a home near 55 Avenue and 113A Street Monday.

One woman was sent to hospital in serious condition, while the other was listed as being in critical shape.

Both were still listed in the same condition yesterday afternoon.

A third woman also required hospitalization for knife wounds.

Carlson said although the trio is known to each other, she could not say how.

Tamara Lynn O'Neil, 25, was charged.

No other suspects are being sought.
