QUEBEC CITY - Two men in Quebec City were treated to a rude awakening Friday morning, when two men burst into their apartment, ransacking it and leaving the walls – and the victims - marked with swastikas.

According to police, the incident occurred at about 4 a.m. Friday, when two suspects came knocking at the door of the apartment of the 18- and 19-year-old men.

After forcing their way in, the two unwelcome visitors forced their victims to lie on the ground, then went about ransacking the apartment looking for money or drugs.

Empty-handed, the suspects grabbed a couple of guitars and a computer.

Before fleeing, the suspects took the time to vandalize the apartment by spray-painting the walls with swastikas. The two victims, still lying on their stomachs, were also each marked with a swastika on their backs.

Nobody was injured.

A neighbour who heard the noise alerted the police. By the time police arrived, the two thugs had already left.

An investigation is underway.
