CALGARY - A man wanted for sexual assault against a young child turned himself in to police in Rocky Mountain House yesterday and is now facing numerous charges.

Dexter Strawberry, 54, is charged with sexual assault, sexual exploitation, sexual interference with a child under six-years-old and breach of recognizance relating to a sexual assault against two other young children in 2007.

RCMP were called to a house on the Sunchild First Nation on Feb. 3 following reports of a sexual assault against a child.

Strawberry had been staying there with the child’s parents and is scheduled to appear in Rocky Mountain House Provincial Court on Feb. 17.
