Strip club allegedly served teen alcohol before shooting
By QMI Agency
BELLEVILLE, Ont. - A second bar is under investigation for allegedly serving alcohol to an underage man in the hours leading up to the double shooting death of two Prince Edward County family members last Friday. Lisa Murray, communications spokeswoman for the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, confirmed a strip club called The Caberet is under investigation for possibly having served Dean Brown, 18, of Belleville. It was revealed earlier this week the bar Matt & Joe's Nightclub - also known as MJ's - is under investigation for possibly serving Brown. Investigators say they may also be looking into a third bar for possible serving an underage patron that night. “I know there was word that there was another establishment and that our investigation will look into that report, as well,” Murray said. Brown posted a Facebook message saying he was “getting drunk” and headed for “MJ's” on the evening before he was charged with two counts of murder in the deaths of 46-year-old Tracy Hannah and 14-year-old Whitney Hannah. A second daughter, 18-year-old Shannon Hannah, is in Kingston hospital recovering from wounds sustained in the attack early Friday morning. No funeral arrangements have yet been released for Tracy Hannah and her daughter, Whitney, but it is understood funeral arrangements are being handled by the John R. Bush Funeral Home. Ontario Provincial Police said forensic autopsies had been performed on the remains of the two victims; however, police refuse to release the official cause of death in the shooting incident.
