WINNIPEG - Four former private school students accused of sexually abusing classmates are now facing new charges involving 10 new alleged victims.

The four accused - an 18-year-old, a 17-year-old and two 16-year-olds - have been charged with 10 counts of sexual assault with a weapon, nine counts of forcible confinement, and one count each of sexual assault, assault, possession of a dangerous weapon and uttering threats.

According to court documents, the offences occurred between Sept. 1, 2009 and Jan. 31, 2010.

Police first arrested the four accused last April following an investigation into assaults among students at Winnipeg's St. John's-Ravenscourt private school. At that time the four accused were charged with sexual assault with a weapon, forcible confinement and uttering threats in connection with a single alleged victim.

Sources have said the suspects are accused of holding down the complainants and threatening to sodomize them with a wooden stick.
