OTTAWA – A man's body was found floating in the Rideau Canal Sunday morning.

Just after 9 a.m. police, paramedics and fire crews fished the body out of the water below the Laurier St. bridge.

Police initially called the death suspicious, but later said there are no signs of foul play.

The victim is believed to be in his 40s.
