Family terrorized during home invasion
By CHRIS KITCHING, QMI Agency

WINNIPEG - A 26-year-old mother and her young children were terrorized during a home invasion in the city's North End late Monday.

It was the most recent of at least three home invasions in the city over the Labour Day weekend.

At 11:20 p.m. on Monday, the mother answered a knock at the door of her home in the 300-block of Salter St. and was confronted by two males who indicated they had a firearm, police said.

The pair entered and the mom and kids sought refuge in a room.

Police said the suspects stole a television. No one was injured.

No one has been arrested.

Police said the suspects are aboriginal males about 22 years old.

One is 5-foot-10 with a medium build, a moustache, deep voice and black hair, which was tied in a ponytail extending to the middle of his back, police said.

The second male is 5-foot-9 with a medium build, short black hair, a scrubby beard and no moustache, police said.
