Cops: HIV-positive man had unprotected sex
By Harold Carmichael, QMI Agency

SUDBURY, Ont. - A Greater Sudbury man who is HIV-positive is facing two charges of aggravated sexual assault for allegedly having unprotected sex with two area women.

Micheil McLean, 26, was charged following a Greater Sudbury Police investigation into separate complaints by two women Sept. 1, who allegedly found out following intimate relationships that McLean was HIV positive.

“In both instances, the accused had unprotected sex with the victims knowing that he had this infectious disease, thus jeopardizing their health and safety,” said police in a release issued Tuesday.

McLean appeared in bail court at the Sudbury courthouse on Tuesday and was remanded in custody to Friday.
