Man wanted in B.C. murder found in Niagara Falls
By ALISON LANGLEY, QMI Agency

NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. - A 38-year-old man wanted in connection with the murder of an elderly Vancouver man last spring has been arrested in this southern Ontario city. Patrick Alexander Leblanc was found in the trunk of his Cadillac on April 9 in New Westminster, B.C. Police say the 67-year-old had been beaten to death. The RCMP Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) travelled to Niagara Falls last week and arrested Russell Benson. At the same time Benson was nabbed, police in Manitoba arrested a second suspect, Glen Anhert, 28. Both men, who are B.C. residents, face charges of second-degree murder. RCMP say the victim was killed inside a Vancouver warehouse and that his death was not related to drugs or organized crime. The murder is believed to have resulted from a personal dispute between individuals who had common associates linked to the warehouse. Both suspects have been sent back to B.C. to answer to the charges. alangley@nfreview.com
