CALGARY - Police say a woman was sexually assaulted and robbed in her car after pulling over to send a text.

Insp. Craig Skelton said the woman, in her 30s, pulled over into the parking lot of a closed gas station in the 200 block of 68 St. N.E. about 10:50 p.m. Sunday when a man entered her car through the passenger door and attacked her.

He robbed and sexually assaulted her before fleeing on foot.

"We don't have a suspect identified," Skelton said.

The only description police have of the man is that he is Arabic.

Skelton said it appears the woman was just trying to send a text safely from her car.
