OTTAWA — Erin Vance's grieving parents watched Monday as the driver who struck and killed the young mother of twins and then fled pleaded guilty.

Jeremy Rees, 23, admitted to impaired driving causing death and failing to remain at the scene of the March 18 crash.

A sentencing hearing is set for Dec. 5.

Vance, the mother of twin five-year-olds, was walking with her boyfriend after a night out when she was struck by Rees' speeding, out-of-control Subaru.
