Man accused of chaining, raping teen in court
By Kris Sims, Atlantic Bureau

David James Leblanc, 47, is wanted by police in Nova Scotia on charges of forcible confinement and sexual assault. (Police handout)

BRIDGEWATER, N.S. - The only surviving suspect in the alleged kidnapping and rape of a Nova Scotia teenager appeared in court Tuesday morning to face new charges.

David James Leblanc entered the courtroom looking haggard and weak, wearing bandages on his feet, as friends of the victim taunted him from the public gallery until being thrown out.

A few of them yelled: "Have fun in prison" and "I hope you die in there," before they were chased out by bailiffs.
