CALGARY -- An alleged victim of accused sex abuser psychiatrist Aubrey Levin sought to entrap the doctor for money, a defence lawyer said Thursday.

Levin, 73, is charged with sexually assaulting 10 male patients between 1999 and 2010.

Levin's lawyer Alain Heppner suggested an alleged victim of Levin's -- along with the man's lawyer -- produced two secret videos of sessions with the psychiatrist to use in a civil action.

He noted the alleged victim's lawyer, Mitchell Stephensen, recommended to his client a second, better video be shot after viewing the first one in March 2010.

Stephensen said he was unaware of any plan to make money from any sex acts and that he still hasn't been paid for any legal advice he gave at that time.

He also told court he viewed photos of scratches on the alleged victim's genitals, possibly linked to the abuse.

The videos of the alleged abuse are to be shown in court Thursday.
