CALGARY — Officials have confirmed a couple found inside an apartment in the city's northeast end died in a murder-suicide.

On Oct. 31, Amiben Prajapati, 27, was found stabbed to death and her husband, Hiren Prajapati, 32, was found hanging.

Emergency crews had been called to the suite to check on the welfare of the couple who hadn't been seen for several days.

Calgary has recorded 17 homicides this year.
