CALGARY -- Police are on the scene of a multiple shooting in the city’s northeast Friday.

One man has been confirmed dead at the scene, and another man has been rushed to Foothills Hospital.

Police said the shooting happened on Martin Valley Mews.

Numerous police cars have the area blocked off and the HAWCS police chopper is overhead.

Officers armed with assault rifles are scouring the area for the gunman.
