MAURICIE, Que. — What do a house, a barn, two garages, a henhouse, a car, a motorcycle, a recreational vehicle and a snow blower have in common?

They were all damaged by a man who used allegedly stole a tractor and went on an early-morning rampage Thursday in the town of Saint-Stanislas-de-Champlain, Que., about 185 km northeast of Montreal.

Patrice Brouillette allegedly stole the tractor and started his wave of destruction around 1:30 a.m. A neighbour called police.

When officers arrived, Brouillette was still at the scene, police said. He had drugs in his possession, according to police.

Police also arrested a second man who was at the scene. They said they found more drugs inside other structures on the property that weren't damaged.

Brouillette appeared in court in Trois Rivieres, Que., on Thursday afternoon. He faces 12 charges of mischief and destruction of property.
