CALGARY - A former Calgary children's nurse who claimed he went into pediatric care to atone for his child-pornography addiction, was sentenced Monday to 45 months' jail.
Calling Jason Scott Bennett a "ticking time bomb," provincial court Judge Anne Brown said his choice of vocation considering his interest in child porn was a poor one.
Brown said despite the fact there was no evidence Bennett used his access to young children inappropriately, he should have done more to separate work from his sick interest.
