Bogus psychics scam $200,000
By Terry Davidson, QMI Agency

TORONTO -- Police are hunting for a trio of fraudsters claiming to be psychics with the ability to bless money and valuables.

The suspects, three Asian women ranging in age from 30 to 60, have duped two victims in separate scams for about $100,000 in cash and jewellery from each.

In each case, the victims, ages 76 and 53, were approached in the downtown area and befriended by the trio.

Speaking in Cantonese, the victims were then convinced that one suspects was a psychic who could see harm coming to the their family, police said.
