Man pleads guilty to murder he doesn't remember
By Sam Pazzano, Toronto Sun

The ex-boyfriend of Ayan "Denise" Osman has been charged with her murder.

TORONTO - Joey Shepherd can’t remember when he savagely knifed his former common-law wife Ayan “Denise” Osman to death at her Rexdale home and then tried to kill himself.

Shepherd attempted suicide by laying across the eastbound lanes of Hwy. 401 near Dixon Road in the early morning hours of June 29, 2010 while Osman was bleeding to death at her Dixon Rd. apartment.

A transport truck “clipped” Shepherd as the driver swerved to avoid him, said Crown attorney Brad Demone in reading an agreed statement of facts in court Thursday.

The killer survived but suffered spine, scalp and wrist injuries.
