Second man arrested in teen sexual assaults
By Karena Walter, QMI Agency

Niagara Regional Police

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. -- A second man has been arrested on sexual assault charges involving two female teens at Niagara hotels.

Niagara Regional Police said the girls, aged 14 and 15, were taken to hotels and coerced into sex acts with a man.

Police allege the man is an associate of a St. Catharines man, who was arrested on 22 sex-related charges a week ago.

An investigation into allegations of sexual assaults against the two girls began in November.

On Wednesday, members of the Provincial Anti-Violence Intervention Strategy Unit pulled over a vehicle in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont., and arrested the driver.

"This individual is an associate of the first male who was arrested," child abuse unit Staff Sgt. James MacKay said.

The victims in the two cases are the same two girls.
