SARNIA, Ont. — Police say a man hid more than $32,000 worth of crystal meth, heroin and cocaine in his rectum and was held in custody for 44 hours this week until the drugs were expelled.

Jeffery Michael Charles Poirier, 37, of Sarnia was arrested Wednesday on drug trafficking charges and was held at police headquarters.

Just before noon Thursday, two wrapped packages were seized from a toilet that had been provided for the suspect, each containing about 28 grams of crystal meth, police said.

An hour later, police say the suspect expelled a third package containing about 28 grams of heroin. Eight hours later, a fourth package containing 17 grams of heroin, seven grams of cocaine and one gram of methamphetamine was released, police said.

“The street name is called hooping,” Const. Heather Emmons said. “It's when they insert the drugs into the rectum. I would say this guy was very experienced.”
