A lunch lady faces charges for allegedly attacking a group of students in a schoolyard near Christie Pits. Toronto Police say 14 Division officers responded to an assault call over the noon-hour Thursday at Essex Public School, on Essex St., southwest of Dupont and Christie Sts. “Kids were out in the schoolyard and a lunch supervisor allegedly went out there and assaulted a number of them,” Const. Tony Vella said Friday of the bizarre incident.
