CALGARY - City police have charged a 40-year-old female teacher with sexual assault for allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a 14-year-old student.

Both the boy and teacher attended the same Calgary school.

The suspect’s name and that of the school isn’t being revealed in order to protect the name of the victim, say police.

The alleged offences were reported by a third party, say police.
