Three Saskatchewan men gambled and lost when they allegedly tried to cash in bogus casino chips.

Regina police said they were called to Casino Regina late Friday after security officers there detained a man attempting to collect on large denomination counterfeit chips.

His pal had fled the casino after being suspected of doing the same and confronted by security.

"The cashier suspected the chips were fake and alerted security," police said in a statement. "The chips were actually $2 tokens that had been altered to look like large-denomination chips."

Another man tried to cash in more of the fake chips on Saturday and was arrested.

Police then went to a nearby business and nabbed another suspect who is alleged to have been in possession of counterfeit casino tokens.

Abdulr Abdallah, 30, of Saskatoon, Eric Micheal Robert Oksasikewiyin, 21, of Saskatoon, and Drew Andrew Peters, 20, of Regina, are each charged with fraudulent use of tokens and fraud over $5,000.
