EDMONTON - A city man faces more than 30 charges after allegedly opening fire on police in west Edmonton Sunday night.

He's charged with four counts of aggravated assault on a police officer, flight from a peace officer as well as a "plethora of weapons charges" Acting Insp. Dan Jones said.

Police believe they've identified a female passenger who was wanted for questioning in the "traumatic" Sunday night shooting, said Jones, who refused to comment further on her involvement.
