Manitoba suing suspected sex offender Mr. JetzTV

WINNIPEG - Legal woes continue to mount for a suspected sex offender accused of recruiting underage girls to work in the sex trade.

The province is suing Darrell Ackman — a former MLA candidate for Fort Whyte — in an effort to claim as proceeds of crime $14,737 in cash police say they found when raiding his home last summer.

Ackman is infamously known for filming unsuspecting Winnipeg women on the street or as they left bars under the YouTube alias Mr. JetzTV.

Lawyers in the criminal property forfeiture unit hope to win a Court of Queen’s Bench order ceding the cash to government coffers.

Ackman has not been convicted of any crime and he remains free on bail.

He is presumed innocent of a number of pending criminal charges, including living off the avails of prostitution, sexual exploitation, invitation to sexual touching and possession of the proceeds of crime.
