Foreign student busts landlord for child porn

Richard Claxton already knew the consequences of collecting child pornography.

Six years ago, the London man was caught with a stash of perverted images and served a nine-month conditional sentence that included a stint in treatment.

Five years later, Claxton was caught again, this time by a teenage foreign student living with him and his wife.

Claxton pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography after police discovered 10,335 images of child porn on his computer.

The student living with the Claxtons alerted police about the child porn. He noticed an image of a young naked girl while fixing Claxton's computer. Claxton quickly closed the image when it popped up on the screen. Between May 1 and June 30, 2011, the teenager used the computer again and opened a folder on the desktop. He discovered more than 20 images, mostly of two or three naked girls between the ages of eight and 11.
