BROCKVILLE, ONT. - Jamie Hawley had food in his digestive system when he died, but that doesn't change the fact that the severely disabled man died of “pneumonia, starvation and infected sores,” Ontario's chief pathologist testified at Jerry Hawley's murder trial.

Jerry, Jaimie's caregiver, is charged with second-degree murder in his brother's May 26, 2008, death.

Jamie 41, suffered a brain injury as an infant that left him with the mental capacity of a six-year-old and confined to a wheelchair with cerebral palsy and limited mobility.
