TORONTO - A man charged with the murder of 20-year-old escort Kera Freeland in Ontario is to appear in Calgary courtroom Thursday.

Christopher Andronakos was arrested Wednesday by Calgary police.

Freeland’s remains were found March 2011 in Caledon, Ont., just northwest of Toronto

The Calgary woman, who worked for a Toronto escort agency, was reported missing by friends.

Ontario police are expected to make an application to return the suspect back to Ontario to face the charge.

“The plan is to have him flown back tomorrow (Friday),” said an Ontario Provincial Police source. “He will then be processed and appear in court again in Caledon.”

Sources all say Andronakos was close to Freeland.

Charges were laid after DNA results linked the suspect to the case.
