Police have found more remains belonging to Kelsey Louise Felker, 24, whose torso was found in a dumpster behind an apartment building in Kitchener, Ont., last Saturday.

Police wouldn't comment on the specifics of the discovery, such as what body parts were found and where.

The man charged in the case appeared in court Thursday.

Stephen Roy Johnson, 37, is charged with first-degree murder and committing an indignity to a human body. He was arrested at a local hotel early Thursday. His next court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 15.

Johnson and Felker were known to each other, police spokesman Olaf Heinzel said.

Felker was a mother of two who also battled an addiction to crack cocaine and had run-ins with the law.
