Third suspect charged after elderly couple bound in barn
By Tony Spears, QMI Agency

(QMI AGENCY FILES)

OTTAWA — A 22-year-old man joins two teens charged in the abduction of two Quebec senior citizens who were allegedly tied up and abandoned in a rural barn this weekend.

The Ottawa man denied the accusations through his lawyer on Tuesday.

Joshua Branker — who faces a dozen charges including kidnapping, forcible confinement and using an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence — made a brief court appearance Tuesday.

Two boys aged 16 and 17 have already been charged in connection with the Friday night terrorizing of a 65-year-old man and 70-year-old woman in their chalet in Bouchette, Que., about 100 km north of Ottawa.
