Woman killed in Toronto seniors' home attack

TORONTO - Police are investigating a deadly attack at a Scarborough senior citizens' home overnight.

A 72-year-old woman was killed in the Wexford Residence for Seniors, at 1860 Lawrence Ave. near Pharmacy Ave., though Toronto Police have not released any details on how she died.

Police were called to the scene before midnight on Wednesday. There are reports a 91-year-old woman was also injured in the attack.

A 72-year-old man has reportedly been taken into custody.

It is believed all three were residents at the centre.
