TORONTO - A teenage prostitute was pistol-whipped and robbed in her Ajax apartment early Friday and officers are on the hunt for the man who did it, Durham Regional Police said.
The suspect — described as a 6-foot, 150-pound black man between ages 20 and 25 — entered the Westney and Kingston Rds.-area apartment around 4:20 a.m. posing as a new client. He robbed the teen after hitting her on the head with a handgun, then left, police said.
The victim, who police say was renting the apartment, was taken to Ajax-Pickering hospital and received an unknown number of stitches for a gash on her head.
Det.-Const. Tom Kollaard said there was one other young woman in the apartment at the time, a friend of the victim who was there as a “safety” measure. The friend, however, was unharmed.
