OTTAWA - A student is charged after throwing a kitten against a wall because he was “annoyed” with it.

Eileen Barak, of the Ottawa Humane Society, said the charges stem from an incident around 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 11 at an apartment, home to a group of young men.

The owner of the seven-month-old kitten — named Braveheart — was in another room when he heard a commotion.
