An anonymous online commenter told Rehtaeh Parsons' father he'll be "going to visit" his dead daughter if he keeps being "lippy."
Glen Canning told QMI Agency police are investigating the death threat.
"I believe it was made by a local person who has knowledge of our case," Canning said. "I am concerned, but not scared."
The threat, made on Canning's YouTube channel, comes from a user called "iamkarma902," who has no bio and has never posted any videos.
He has, however, commented numerous times on Canning's feed, making disparaging remarks about Rehtaeh Parsons and denying her rape allegations.
Canning has been outspoken about his daughter's case online.
Parsons, 17, was taken off life-support in April after she hanged herself.
The teen's parents have alleged that four boys raped her when she was 15 and circulated photos of the attack to Parsons' schoolmates. Nobody was charged during the initial investigation and the four suspects were never interviewed.
The tragedy sparked international outcry, prompting police to reopen the case, the province to launch reviews of the school system and police force, and provincial and national lawmakers to push new anti-bullying legislation.
Earlier this month, cops arrested and charged two 18-year-old men in the case. One is charged with making and distributing child porn. The other is charged with two counts of distributing child porn.
Neither accused can be named because they were minors at the time of the alleged offences.
RCMP could not immediately be reached for comment.
