The Rehtaeh Parsons child pornography trial has been put over to Jan. 9.
The two teenage boys facing child pornography charges were due in court Thursday, but did not appear. Instead, one of the accused's lawyers told court he needed more time to review evidence disclosed by the Crown on Wednesday, the Halifax Chronicle-Herald reports.
An 18-year-old man faces two counts of distributing child pornography, and a 19-year-old man is charged with making and distributing child pornography.
Both accused, who cannot be named as they were under 18 when the alleged crimes took place in 2011, are free on conditions.
Parsons, 17, was taken off life-support after she hanged herself in April.
Her parents then came forward with allegations four boys raped her when she was 15 and circulated a photo of the attack to her schoolmates.
Originally, cops pressed no charges, but the case was reopened after widespread outrage.
Police said there wasn't enough evidence for sexual assault charges.
