TORONTO -- A motorist faces drunk driving and stunt driving charges after police say they clocked a Porsche booting it at 233 km/h on Hwy. 401.

The OPP said an officer spotted the speeding Porsche Cayenne travelling on the highway, near Whites Rd., early Sunday. The speed limit for that stretch of highway is 100 km/h.

The cop called other officers for help and the vehicle was pulled over without incident at Brock St., east of Toronto.

Police alleged the driver was impaired and that there was an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court.

Calvin Williams, 29, of Mississauga, Ont., faces charges including stunt driving and impaired driving.

A driver wouldn't have too much control of a vehicle at such speeds," OPP Sgt. Dave Woodford said.

"We have caught drunk drivers. I don't remember an (alleged) case with these kinds of speed... It's normally only sport motorcycles and we normally don't get them stopped," Woodford said.
