TORONTO - Brian Dickson, Mark Moore and Jennifer Pan are strikingly different, but share a common fate: They will face first-degree murder charges in sensational court cases scheduled for 2014.

Dickson, a former actor and male model, is accused of slaying York University student Qian “Necole” Liu, a 23-year-old English student from Beijing. Her partially-clothed body was found April 15, 2011, in her apartment. Her Chinese boyfriend, Meng Xianchao, told authorities he saw a man approach his girlfriend as they talked 18,000 km apart that morning via a webcam link - then his screen went blank.

Dickson, 31, was a resident of the first floor of the building where Liu lived.

He’ll go on trial March 17.

Moore, 29, is slated to appear in court on Sept. 9 on four charges of first-degree murder.

Two of his alleged victims, Courthney Facey, 18, and Mike James, 23, were gunned down point-blank by the driver of a black BMW SUV on Sept. 29, 2010.
