VANCOUVER - Police in Surrey, B.C., have set up a command post outside the arena where a mother was fatally assaulted as she waited to pick her son up from a hockey tournament.

Julie Paskall, 53, a mother of three, was found beaten on Sunday in the parking lot of the Newton Arena. She was there picking up her son from the rink and police suspect robbery was the motive for the attack.

She died in hospital on Tuesday.
