VANCOUVER -- A trust fund has been set up for the family of murder victim Julie Paskall as Newton, B.C.-area residents plan a meeting Monday to discuss safety issues in the wake of her Dec. 29 beating death.

Paskall, 53, a mother of three, was found badly beaten in the Newton Arena parking lot, where she was picking up her son from the rink.

She was taken to hospital but died three days later. Police believe robbery was the motive for the attack.
